bulletpointRedundancy counselling

Whether you are an employer needing to make redundancy decisions or an individual facing the prospect of redundancy, or you have already been made redundant, this module is for you.

Some funded support is available via the 'Response to Redundancy' project, see  home page 'news' section

This is a difficult time both for employers having to make tough decisions and especially for individuals facing the loss of employment with the resulting impact on confidence and morale.

Our occupational counsellors are expert at providing the right amount and type of support and quick access to our programme is better for everyone concerned.

Our redundancy programme offers a range of interventions in response to need. The programme can include appropriate psychometric and personal profiling to establish the best career goals; jobseekers support to identify and access new employment and/or career coaching or career development modules to maximise long-term career success or a tailored mix of these.

Step guide bullet pointSteps: redundancy counselling

  • Discuss our programme with an occupational counsellor to see if it is suitable. A face-to-face meeting is necessary due to the potential scope and variable content of this intervention.
  • For corporate programme we will negotiate a start date, programme scope and whether the work will be undertaken in-house, at our premises or other venue. For individuals reserve a start point – this is usually a profiling day.
  • Continue with the programme agreed - to support transitions from employment to job seeking - to career management of a new work situation and long term career and life planning
